JAKARTA – Angkasa Pura Airports won three awards in the 2019 SOE Award. The company ranked first in the category of Best SOE Governance, ranked second in the category of SOE with Best Growth Strategy, and received award on The Best CEO in the category of Driving Execution to Angkasa Pura Airports President Director Faik Fahmi.
The award was received by Faik Fahmi, witnessed by the Minister of Communication and Information of Republic of Indonesia Rudiantara and Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning of Republic of Indonesia Sofyan Djalil at the 2019 SOE Award held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Jakarta on Thursday (28/3/2019).
"This award is an appreciation of Angkasa Pura Airports' commitment in implementing Good Corporate Governance (GCG) and appreciation for achieving positive performance in 2018. This award will further encourage Angkasa Pura Airports to continue the program of company transformation that is currently ongoing as well as increasing its role in supporting economic growth to increase national income,” Faik said.
The 2019 SOE award is an event to appreciate the contribution of SOEs that have demonstrated great performance and competitiveness at the national and global level held by SOE Track Magazine with PPM School of Management. In the 8th event, the theme of the 2019 SOE Award is "Increasing National Economic Growth, Pioneering New Businesses, and Becoming Stronger for the Country".
"Different with the previous events, the assessment to obtain the winners this year is only divided into two main categories, ‘big corporate’ [companies with revenues above Rp3 trillion (US$211,285,500)] and ‘emerging corporate’ [companies with revenues below Rp3 trillion]," said the Chairman of the Jury of the 2019 SOE Award Tanri Abeng.
To be the winner, participants must go through three stages of the selection process. The first process is the questionnaire selection, followed by an interview of the questionnaire material in front of the jury, and the last is the CEO interview. The 2019 SOE award, which was joined by 90 companies, is judged by a panel of judges from various professions who are widely known for their credibility and competence, supported by the quality of the research and assessment team from PPM School of Management.
"Those are conducted to assure that the SOE Award has the quality as well as proven integrity and the results can be a reflection of the future management of SOEs to be more professional, transparent and competitive and also become a recommendation for future sources of cabinet recruitment," Tanri said.
