Angkasa Pura Airports Serves 2,485,107 Passengers and 21,441 Movements During the 2022 Eid Transport Period

Jakarta, 11 May 2022 - Angkasa Pura Airports was recorded to serve up to 2,485,107 million passengers with flight traffic reaching 21,441 aircraft movements at 15 airports under its management during the Lebaran Transportation period starting from April 25 (D-7) until the closing period of the Lebaran Transport Command Post. May 10, 2022 (D+7).

When compared to passenger movement traffic in 2021 which only served 531,268 passengers, the number of passenger movements during the Lebaran Transportation period in 2015 increased by 359 percent. Meanwhile, flight traffic has also increased by up to 200 percent when compared to traffic in 2021, which serves 7,158 aircraft movements.

"The movement of passenger and flight traffic during the Lebaran Transportation period this year was 5 percent higher and 9 percent higher than the prediction where we estimate to serve 2,364,660 passengers and 19,579 aircraft movements at the 15 airports we manage. The choice of the main mode of transportation for people to go home in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic is faster, safer and healthier," said Angkasa Pura Airports President Director, Faik Fahmi.

As for the 3 Angkasa Pura Airports airports which served the highest passengers & aircraft during the Lebaran Transport period, namely Juanda Airport Surabaya which served up to 553,347 passengers with flight traffic reaching 3,981 aircraft movements, followed by I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali which served up to 503,882 passengers with flight traffic reaching 3,641 aircraft movements and Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin Airport which serves up to 475,142 passengers with flight traffic reaching 3,743 aircraft movements.

During the Lebaran Transportation period, Angkasa Pura Airports received at least 1,378 extra flight plans with the realization reaching 1,005 extra flights or reaching 73 percent. As for the level of on time performance (OTP), the average OTP at 15 airports managed by Angkasa Pura Airports during the Lebaran Transportation period reached 67.07 percent or exceeded the daily OTP average during the implementation of the Lebaran Transport post which reached 61.81 percent.
