Angkasa Pura Airports Salurkan Bantuan bagi Korban Banjir Manado

MANADO - Angkasa Pura Airports handed further aids in the form of cash money amounting to Rp 500 million for victims of flash flood in Manado which took place at the disaster aids communication center in the Manado City Hall, Monday morning (27/1). The aids were delivered by the Human Capital and General Affairs Director of Angkasa Pura Airports, Daan Achmad, and received by Manado Mayor Vicky Lumentut. This is a part of the program of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) carried out by Angkasa Pura Airports.

In the first disaster response, right on the D day, January 15, 2014,  Angkasa Pura Airports through its Branch Office in  Sam Ratulangi Airport, Manado personally provided aids in the form of 40 packages of food, mineral, and milk delivered by the General Manager of Sam Ratulangi Airport Maslin Pangabean. The aids were delivered in Kairagi Satu Sub-District, Mapanget District, Manado City. The total aids channeled by the Sam Ratulangi Airport as per today are 795 packages worth Rp 73.9 million.

In addition, aids were also granted by the Angkasa Pura I Employees’ Wives’ Association (Periskapura I) in Jakarta in the form of 8 bales of aids in the form of blankets, soaps, sanitary napkins, antiseptic liquid, and toothpaste. The aids were transported from Jakarta and handed in person by Rita Daud Daniel Waloni and Elsyah Fatimah Yushan Sayuti in Tikala and Komo Luar areas, Thursday (23/1).

"We extend our deep grief and sorrow over the incident. We hope that all the aids provided will be of great benefit for the victims in their recovery from trauma in the incident that claimed 6 lives and caused a loss of around Rp 1,8 trillion," said Daan Ahmad.

"The aids from Angkasa Pura Airports are very meaningful for us. We will distribute them to the victims through the district and sub district offices. We are now working hard in repairing the affected public infrastructure such schools and places of worship. Aids channeled by Angkasa Pura Airports will certainly ease our burden," said Mayor Vicky Lumentut.

Up to 2013 the total distribution of CSR by Angkasa Pura Airports has reached Rp 86,54 billion. In 2014, Angkasa Pura Airports allocate Rp 20.19 billion for CSR program. [Handy Heryudhitiawan]
