Angkasa Pura Airports Releases 2000 Idul Fitri Travelers on Program "Mudik Bareng BUMN 2018"

JAKARTA - Angkasa Pura Airports released 2,000 Idul Fitri travelers to Semarang, Solo, and Yogyakarta in "Mudik bareng BUMN 2018" program. It was carried out by the Managing Director of Angkasa Pura Airports, Faik Fahmi, and witnessed by Director General of Air Transportation, Agus Santoso, on Monday (11/6) in Kemayoran.

"As a form of SOE’s synergy in supporting the government's social programs during Ramadan and to reduce traffic jams and potential accidents during Lebaran 2018 mudik season, Angkasa Pura Airports organizes free “Mudik” (Indonesia's annual homebound exodus) activity for 2,000 travelers," Faik Fahmi said.

The free "Mudik bareng BUMN 2018" activity for 2,000 travelers served the Jakarta-Semarang route (via north route), Jakarta-Solo (north route), and Jakarta-Yogyakarta (south route). The travelers departed by 50 buses and divided into two phases of departure  date, they're on 9 and 11 June 2018. The first departure on Saturday (9/6) was released by SOE Minister Rini Soemarno in Ancol along with other SOE’s. While the second departure was conducted on Monday (11/6), and released by the Managing Director of Angkasa Pura Airports, Faik Fahmi.

For information, this free mudik registration program had started since April 23 and closed May 25, 2018. "Although registration is open from 23 April to 25 May 2018, approximately one month, but in less than one week the quota has been full. I would like to express my deepest gratitude and appreciate the enthusiasm of the citizens who support the government's mission by participating in this “Mudik bareng BUMN program”," said Faik Fahmi.

This free Idul Fitri traveling program is organized for the public. Angkasa Pura Airports provided 50 executive class buses with safe and decent road standards. The buses were equipped with various facilities such as TV, karaoke, music, air conditioning, snack, medicines, t-shirts, hats, souvenirs, and toilets. Prospective travelers will also be protected by life insurance to improve the comfort and safety of prospective travelers during the trip to the hometown.

The participation of Angkasa Pura Airports in the "Mudik bareng BUMN 2018" Program was the first time. Implementation of "Mudik bareng BUMN 2018" itself was the fourth time organized by the Ministry of SOE’s, involving 62 state-owned enterprises with 177 destinations in both western and eastern Indonesia.

The number of travelers who participated in “Mudik bareng BUMN 2018” program recorded increased to 206,209 travelers or 74.43% from the previous year as many as 118,220 travelers. While the cities of destination were increased to 108 destination cities from the previous 84 destinations in 2017.

"Have a safe trip and wishing you can be back to Jakarta in a good condition. I also would like to urge all travellers to always pay attention to safety and security during the trip by complying all transport regulations,” Faik Fahmi said.[AD]
