JAKARTA - In commemoration of the series of National Transportation Day, Angkasa Pura Airports participates in the 2019 Indotrans Expo held at the Plenary Hall of Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Senayan in Jakarta on September 13-15, 2019.
The exhibition, which was officially opened by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla, was held in order to disseminate information about transportation, infrastructure, and tourism to the public.
During the exhibition, Angkasa Pura Airports presents an installation booth with a theme new terminal of Banjarmasin’s Syamsudin Noor International Airport which is one of the National Strategic Projects (PSN) executed by Angkasa Pura Airports. The visitors can see firsthand the development of the airport construction in South Kalimantan through an interactive video.
The new terminal of Syamsudin Noor International Airport has its own uniqueness because it was built with a design that combines modernity and local wisdom. The distinctive characteristic of the Barito River floating market is presented by applying the shape of an outrigger boat to the main roof of the terminal. Strong lines resembling diamond gems appear on all elements of the building which gives the image of luxury and natural resources of South Kalimantan.
"Through this exhibition, we hope we can contribute in the commemoration of the National Transportation Day and provide comprehensive and updated information to the public, especially regarding one of the National Strategic Projects we are currently working on, namely the Construction of the New Terminal at Syamsudin Noor International Airport," said Angkasa Pura Airports president director Faik Fahmi.
In addition, visitors can also enjoy entertainment by playing interactive virtual games and win various attractive prizes provided at the Angkasa Pura Airports booth.
"We also provide free Bhumi Tea drinks for visitors. This tea is one of the featured products from Angkasa Pura Retail, a subsidiary of Angkasa Pura Airports," Faik added.
The activities in the Indotrans Expo are presented in various series of events such as travel fairs, awards, and national discussions that bring together experts and stakeholders. The exhibition is free and is opened from September 13 to September 15, 2019 at 08.30-18.30 local time at the Plenary Hall of JCC Senayan in Jakarta.
