Angkasa Pura Airports Holds Halal Bihalal Gathering To Maintain Kinship Ties, Strengthen Synergy

JAKARTA - In a bid to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1440 H, Angkasa Pura Airports held halal-bihalal or gathering to ask for forgiveness activities with all employees, representatives of the Ministry of SOE & Ministry of Transportation as stakeholders and work partners at Gedung Serbaguna, Angkasa Pura I in Jakarta on Monday (6/17).

With the theme "Purify Hearts, Establish Kinship, Build Synergy", the event was also attended by Angkasa Pura I President Commissioner Djoko Sasono along with all Board of Commissioners and Angkasa Pura I President Director Faik Fahmi with all Board of Directors. In his remarks, Faik encouraged all employees to maintain the spirit of worship not only in rituals but also in social activities.

"I want to invite all personnel of Angkasa Pura Airports, to maintain the spirit of worship and the purpose of Ramadan to be implemented continuously in our routines," Faik said.

"Pray and discipline must be maximally maintained not only during the fasting month of Ramadan but also in other months. That way, the impact will not be felt only by individuals and it can also improve the quality of the company’s performance. Hopefully the spirit of Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr and halal-bihalal can strengthening our mindset to always strive to provide the best service and contribution to the nation and this beloved country."

During Ramadan, Angkasa Pura Airports has organized various social activities including distribution of more than 7,000 Sembako (nine basic necessities) Ramadan packages in all branches in 14 airports, distribution of takjil (snacks for fast-breaking) at the airports, and Safari Ramadan activities by distributing assistance to repair worship facilities, and social aids for 1,000 orphans in five districts in Central Java.

In addition, Angkasa Pura Airports has completed the construction of three mosques for its three airports. The mosques are Baitus Salam Mosque at General Ahmad Yani International Airport in Semarang, Al Akbar Mosque at Yogyakarta International Airport in Kulon Progo, and Nur Rahman Mosque at Syamsudin Noor International Airport in Banjarmasin.

"The construction of an adequate place of worship within the airport is one of the company's commitments to improve services for all airport users," Faik said.

Angkasa Pura Airports has also supported the 2019 SOE Joint Exodus Program initiated by the Ministry of SOE to minimize the risk of traffic accidents and accommodate people with low income to be able to go back to their hometown. In the implementation, Angkasa Pura Airports dispatched 2,560 travelers for free to six cities in Java Island and 1,000 travelers with Pelni ships to Surabaya with departures via Makassar and Balikpapan.
