KARANGANYAR - Angkasa Pura Airports held a 3.4-kilometre-”Healthy Walk with SOE" around the De Tjolomadoe Museum in Karanganyar, Central Java on Sunday (08/18/2019).
About 2,000 participants of the healthy walk were dispatched by the Angkasa Pura Airports President Director Faik Fahmi. The activity is part of a series of activities of “BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri” or SOEs Present to the Nation as well as commemorating the 74th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, which was held by Angkasa Pura I in Central Java Province.
In addition to healthy walking, Angkasa Pura Airports also operated affordable markets in Boyolali Regency on August 16, 2019. Commemoration of the proclamation carried out by Angkasa Pura Airports was concentrated in Selo Subdistrict, Boyolali on August 17, 2019. Social aids worth Rp3.45 billion were also given to local people in several districts in Central Java. Besides, there was also folk entertainment, an art competition, and a typical Independence Day competition which was held in Klakah Village in Selo.
"This 'Healthy Walk with SOEs Present for the Nation' event is the culmination of a series of activities of 74th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia held by Angkasa Pura I along with three other SOEs in Central Java. Through these activities, it is expected that the presence of SOEs can be felt by the community,“ Faik said.
This healthy walk which was joined enthusiastically by thousands of people is expected to provide alternative means of sports and entertainment for the community.
The route of the 3.4 kilometre walk was the De Tjolomadoe - Jl. Adisutjipto - Jl. Melon - Jl. Adi Sumarmo - Jl. Bor Well - Jl. Adisutjipto - De Tjolomadoe.
In addition to the healthy walk, participants were invited to do gymnastics together and collect garbage along the walk route. Angkasa Pura I also provided music entertainment with door prizes worth tens of millions of rupiah.
