All Angkasa Pura Airports Receive International Certification of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System

JAKARTA – All Angkasa Pura Airports airports have been awarded with international certification of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, in the category of airport services, including passengers service (PJP2U) and landing, placement, and aircraft storage services (PJP4U).

The ISO 9001: 2015 certification for 13 airports managed by Angkasa Pura Airports was awarded by an international certification body based in Germany, TUV Rheinland. The certification was handed over to Angkasa Pura Airports President Director Faik Fahmi in Jakarta on 12 July 2018.

"Our success in getting the certification is achieved through the hard work of all Angkasa Pura Airports employees, who always commit to improving their performance. This certification is a foundation for us to give good service based on international standards, with a focus on customer satisfaction by prioritizing aspects of safety, security, service, and compliance (3S + 1C), " said Faik Fahmi.

Angkasa Pura Airports has developed and implemented the ISO 9001 Quality Management System since 2013. ISO 9001 is a management system that focuses on customer satisfaction, where performance monitoring and measurement was conducted continuously.

The ISO 9001: 2015 certification do not only include PJP2U and PJP4U, but also cargo and postal services (PJKP2U) in all airports managed by Angkasa Pura Airports.

Angkasa Pura Airports’ efforts to provide the best service to passengers have resulted in world-class recognitions.

Airports Council International (ACI), for instance, gave Angkasa Pura Airports five awards in "Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards 2017". The awards were given to three airports in the country.

One of the airports was I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Bali which was named as the best airport in the world for category 15- 25 million passengers per year, the second best airport in Asia-Pacific category with over 2 million passengers per year, and the best airport in Asia-Pacific for category 15-25 million passengers per year.

Juanda Airport Surabaya also won the award. The airport was listed as the world’s third-best airport for category 15 – 25 passengers per year.

Meanwhile, SAMS Sepinggan Balikpapan Airport also won the award as it was named as the second-best airport in the world for category 5-15 million passengers per year.

"Our commitment is to continue to provide the best service to airport passengers, business partners and all stakeholders. We hope that what have been achieved now can be maintained in the future and they can support the progress of the aviation industry in the country, in the aspects of safety, security, and service," Faik added.
