KARANGANYAR - PT Angkasa Pura Airports held the first National Jamboree Airport Fire Fighting and Rescue (AFFR) in Wana Sekipan Tawangmangu Karanganyar (26-28 / 11). Clearing activities also involve AFFR personnel from the PT Angkasa Pura II airports and airports of Aviation Transportation General Directorate as Sultan Iskandar Muda airport in Banda Aceh, Jakarta Soekarno Hatta and Sentani airport of Jayapura in Papua. Personnel involved amounted to 132 people where in the training activities in cooperation with the Special Forces of the TNI army as an instructor builder.

Activities deliberately designed in an open environment to adapt to the natural time of the accident. Obstacles and barriers resemble real events which optimally trained personnel to carry out the rescue. Among them, the training methods are vertical rescue or rescue effort of heights and water rescue or plane crash rescue that occurred in the waters. President Director of PT Angkasa Pura Airports, Tommy Soetomo explained that the event of the First National Jamboree AFFR aims to train AFFR personnel soul across Indonesia, increasing the aid skill and physical capacity to reach locations that are difficult to achieve when the plane crash. "We are very concerned with safety, which is why this activity is carried out. Based on research conducted by the International Civil Aviation Organization, an aircraft accident just a lot go on around the airport. AFFR Jamboree event is a follow-up activity after simulation implemented Emergency Response (PKD) in Bali on 18 November 2014 ago at the Ngurah Rai Airport Bali. Present at the first National Jamboree AFFR is President Director of Angkasa Pura Airports Tommy Soetomo, Director of Angkasa Pura II Tri Sunoko, as well as some officials of the Ministry of Transportation.
