TUBAN - The expansion of Ngurah Rai international airport which cost 2.8 trillion IDR brought significant changes. Aircraft and passenger traffic proved to be creeping up. Based on data owned by Branch Ngurah Rai International Airport of Airports Angkasa Pura, the average growth reaches to 13 percent more per year. In 2012 aircraft movements as much as 113 thousand, after the renovation is complete overall to 125 thousand aircraft.

"The growth in passengers in 2012 reaches to 13 percent in 2013. Passengers from 14.2 million to 15.6 million passengers," said Sherly Yunita, Communication Officer Ngurah Rai International Airport to Jawa Post Radar Bali yesterday (27/8). Just to note, after the expansion project is completed, the capacity of the airport is able to accommodate 25 million passengers per year. This figure is the capacity of the largest airports in Indonesia today.
