"The workshop is to be followed as best as possible, to achieved the motto No. Airport Left Behind. Not only in terms of infrastructure facilities alone, but its human resources can also be similar to other airports," said General Manager Airports Frans Kaisiepo Biak, Minggus E.T Gandeguai.

This workshop materials focused to enable the participants to identify the objects and elements that are included in the category of dangerous goods Acceptable, Forbidden, Exempted, and excepted.

"The handling of dangerous goods must be in place. Do not let an error when identifying objects such dangerous. For example, we need to understand any treatment that should be given to deal with different types of fire based on its source. For a team ARFF, do not let water and foam as the main extinguishers actually cause more damage fatal when the process of extinguishing the fire, because not all objects can be extinguished with water and foam for granted. We must put the fire according to the source and type of fire," said Minggus.

Hopefully, with the implementation of this workshop, participants can socialize knowledge about the dangerous goods to co-workers, business partners, airlines and airport stakeholders. This is because awareness of the dangerous goods not only lies in AVSEC personnel and airport ARFF only, but inherent to every person who does all its activities at the airport to create safety and aviation security.
