LOP is an airport operated by PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero), located in Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia which serves domestic and international flights and the airport is located on Jalan Tanak Awu, in the southeastern part of the City. Mataram (the capital of West Nusa Tenggara Province) and is located approximately 8 kilometers south of the small town of Praya (the capital of Central Lombok). This airport is built on an area of approximately 538.5 hectares which is directly owned by PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero). It is hoped that the airport will play an important role as a tourism hub in the central part of Indonesia and thus play an important role for economic development in the area. LOP is experiencing steady growth in passenger growth, with the number of passengers around 3.59 million passengers in 2018, which has exceeded the terminal capacity by 3.5 million passengers per year (“mppa”). However, AirNav Indonesia recorded a decline in Indonesian domestic traffic of 17.5% in 2019 where LOP also decreased by 19.3% compared to 2018 due to the soaring costs of domestic airline tickets in the aviation industry. Significant growth is expected to continue in the short to medium term with passenger demand expected to exceed 5.29 mppa by 2023.

In addition, the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ) development program launched by the Government is also an opportunity to make Lombok a leading tourist destination in Indonesia and will require the role of Lombok - Praya International Airport as its supporting facilities.

In this regard, PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) plans to collaborate with strategic partners to jointly develop and manage Lombok - Praya International Airport as an international airport capable of accommodating increasing passenger growth and supporting the development of the Mandalika SEZ in the future.

The strategic cooperation in the development and management of Lombok - Praya International Airport has main objectives, namely:

  1. Service Improvement: Transforming Lombok - Praya International Airport into a world-class airport terminal and airport city through improved facility and service quality;
  2. Increasing the Movement of Air Traffic: Promote Lombok - Praya International Airport as the best tourism airport in Indonesia to attract foreign tourists as well as increase international traffic and increase spending per pax;
  3. Increased Revenue: The airport city will develop into a new non-aeronautical commercial facility that will increase the revenue stream of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero).

The cooperation covers the provision and operation in the form of D-B-F-O-T (Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Transfer) for an estimated period of 30 (thirty) years with an estimated project value of
