Angkasa Pura Airports Optimistic of Flight Traffic Increasing Slowly Following RT-PCR Price Adjustments

JAKARTA - Angkasa Pura Airports welcomes the Government's policy to reduce the cost of RT-PCR issued through Circular Letter Number: HK.02.02/I/2845/2021 concerning the Highest Rate Limit for Reserve Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) Test, where it is stated that the highest price limit for RT-PCR in Java and Bali is Rp. 495,000,- and RT-PCR outside Java and Bali are Rp. 525,000.

"We very much welcome the Government's policy regarding reducing the price of RT-PCR. Besides being able to help increase the number of Covid-19 tests so that Covid-19 transmission can be more controlled, the decrease in RT-PCR price will also open hope that a more controlled pandemic will increase confidence people to travel by air so that flight traffic can slowly increase," said Angkasa Pura Airports President Director Faik Fahmi.

In accordance with the policy, the price of RT-PCR at Angkasa Pura Airports which has RT-PCR test services has been reduced. The price of RT-PCR at Angkasa Pura Airports in Java and Bali is IDR 495,000, while the cost of RT-PCR at airports outside Java and Bali is IDR 525,000.

Angkasa Pura Airports in Java and Bali that have RT-PCR test services are Juanda Airport Surabaya, Yogyakarta International Airport - Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta Adisutjipto Airport, General Ahmad Yani Airport Semarang, and I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Bali; while Angkasa Pura Airports outside Java and Bali that have RT-PCR services are Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar, Lombok International Airport, Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Airport (SAMS) Sepinggan Balikpapan, Sam Ratulangi Airport Manado, El Tari Kupang Airport, and Syamsudin Noor Airport Banjarmasin.
