Angkasa Pura Airports Offers Attractive Incentives For Airline Companies

BALIKPAPAN - Angkasa Pura Airports will provide various attractive incentive programs for the airlines operating at its airports. This was revealed in the "Airlines Gathering Chapter Balikpapan" held at the Grand Jatra Hotel, Balikpapan, Monday (27/08/2018).

"These airlines gathering sare aimed to strengthen the collaborative bond between Angkasa Pura Airports and its clients, in this case the airline companies and the groundhandling companies, especially at Sepinggan Balikpapan SAMS Airport.  This opportunity is also intended  to accommodate the clients’ aspirations  as inputs for Angkasa Pura I to n continue improving our services," said Director of Service and Marketing of Angkasa Pura Airports Devy Suradji in Balikpapan, Monday (27/08/2018).

According to Devy, this event serves also ascommunication medium for Angkasa Pura Airports as the airport management to provide the latest updates regarding airport business, both from the corporate aspect of Angkasa Pura Airports and for the interest of SAMS Sepinggan Airport, Balikpapanin serving airline companies and groundhandling partners. "So that airlines can mutually synergize with our strategies, and jointly work on building the potential and opportunities to expand the market in the future," Devy added.

Angkasa Pura Airports is offering incentive programs to support their marketing effort for airlines operating to / from airports managed under Angkasa Pura I. This incentive program is intended to promote the growth of passenger traffic and airplane movements as well as strengthen and maintain the air route networks of Angkasa Pura Airports.

"Generally speaking, the incentive program we offer is a 'new route incentive scheme' which allows airlines to open new routes at airports in Angkasa Pura Airports, and 'additional flight frequency incentive schemes' for airline companies to add flight frequencies on existing routes," he said.

The "New route incentive scheme "is provided by exempting the landing fees for a full year for new domestic routes or flights at all airports of Angkasa Pura Airports, except for airlines using I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali, Juanda Airport in Surabaya, and Adisutjipto Airport in Yogyakarta. A full year exemption for landing fee is also applied for new international routes or flights at all airports of Angkasa Pura Airports except for I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali and Yogyakarta Adisutjipto Airport. Incentives for airlines were also given in the form of a month-long airline fee exemption from airline promotion activities at the airport perimeter and the exemption of the cost of opening inauguration activities for new routes at the airport.

The "additional flight frequency incentive scheme" is provided by offering 50% discounton landing fee for a full year for airlines that have added the frequency of domestic flights at 9 (nine) airports Angkasa Pura Airports and 25% discount at Juanda Airport Surabaya and Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar. However, this discount program is not offered at Bali I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport and Yogyakarta Adisutjipto Airport. Whereas for the addition of international flight frequency, 50% discount on landing feeis offered for a full year at all Angkasa Pura Airports, except for Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport and Yogyakarta Adisutjipto Airport.

"It is expected that these incentive programs can help airlines to develop their businesses, especially in opening new routes and increasing flight frequencies. This effort is a form of contribution of Angkasa Pura Airports in advancing the national aviation industry, encouraging increased air transportation traffic, optimizing airport performance, while providing alternative flight schedule options for the community" Devy said.
