Angkasa Pura Airports Obtains Fund Syndicated 4 Trillion IDR

JAKARTA - Angkasa Pura Airports obtain financial support in the form of loans syndicated from three banks and two non-bank financial institutions amounting to 4 trillion IDR to support the development of the five airports of Angkasa Pura Airports.

Syndication creditors are PT Sarana Multi Infrastructure (Persero) (SMI), PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. (Independent), PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. (BCA), PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (IIF), and PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BRI). The signing of this syndicated loan made by the Director of Angkasa Pura I Sulistyo Wimbo Hardjito, Director of SMI Emma Sri Martini, Vice President Director of Mandiri Bank Sulaiman A. Arianto, Director of BCA Bank Rudy Susanto, President Director of IIF Ari Soerono, and the Director of BRI Bank Kuswiyoto, held at The Dharmawangsa, Jakarta, Thursday (18/8).

Director of Angkasa Pura Airports Sulistyo Wimbo Hardjito explained that the credit facility amounting to 4 trillion IDR with tenor of 15 years with a grace period of 5 years is part of the fulfillment of the funding plan for airport development Angkasa Pura Airports in the 2016's. "In 2016 we need external funding of 7 trillion IDR, 4 trillion IDR met through syndicated loans and 3 trillion IDR rest of the bond issuance," said Wimbo.

Angkasa Pura Airports plan needs external funding period 2016-2020 amounting to 25 trillion IDR in financing capital expenditure (capex). These funds will be met through investment credit loans from banks and non-bank financial institutions amounting to 10.5 trillion IDR and issuance of 14.5 trillion IDR. The external funding needed by Angkasa Pura I's construction and development of the five airports, namely Ahmad Yani Airport in Semarang that require targeted investment of 2.1 trillion IDR and operations in 2018, Banjarmasin Syamsudin Noor Airport (2.3 trillion IDR / 2019), New Airport Yogyakarta (9 ,3 trillion IDR/ 2020), Juanda Airport Terminal 3 (9.1 trillion / 2020), and Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar (Rp3.6 trillion / 2020), as well as regular investment.

"The construction and development of airports are urgently needed because already experiencing lack of capacity. It is also intended to improve the quality of service (level of service), user satisfaction airport services (customer satisfaction index / CSI), as well as to keep pace with the growth of the aviation industry national, "added Wimbo.

Meanwhile, President Director of IIF Ari Soerono stated that as one of the strategic infrastructure, the construction of an airport infrastructure project should apply the principles of management and prioritizing social and environmental sustainability.
