JAKARTA - Angkasa Pura Airports consistent on dedication to implementing green airport at 13 airports managed. On Tuesday (7/06/2016) afternoon, has implemented the MoU signing between Angkasa Pura Airports with Indonesian Orchid Association (PAI) on cooperation indoor landscape design at the 13 airports managed by Angkasa Pura Airports.

"By positioning the airport as a gateway to regional tourism, where orchids will beautify and improve the quality of the design of the airport. In addition, with the design of landscape interest would increase the sale of orchids typical of Indonesia in international eyes,"said President Director of Angkasa Pura Airports, Sulistyo Wimbo Hardjito.

Besides orchids, eventually airports in Angkasa Pura Airports will be enhanced by the presence of indoor gardens. "The plan, at Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar will be constructed butterfly garden, which is supplied from the National Park Bantimurung ,"  continued Wimbo.

Reflecting the international airports like Changi Airport Singapore, the presence of indoor landscape has several functions. "In addition to improving the aesthetics of the airport, these plants can reduce the level of toxins in the air that makes the air at the airport to be healthier," he closed the show. [DSS]
