Angkasa Pura Airports Gives 10,000 Staple Food Packages to People Affected by Covid-19 Pandemic

JAKARTA - Angkasa Pura Airports provides 10,000 staple food packages to help people affected by COVID-19 pandemic.

The aids are donation from Directors and Commissioners of Angkasa Pura Airports and Directors of subsidiaries worth Rp3.82 billion (US$272,600)which were distributed through foundations, orphanages, community organizations, the Jakarta Mosque Council, the Islamic organization Nahdlatul Ulama COVID-19 care task force, and the Millennial Community of Angkasa Pura Airports in Jakarta, Tangerang, Bekasi and Depok.

"Providing assistance of 10,000 staple food packages to meet the basic needs is the initiative of all members of the Board of Directors and Commissioners of Angkasa Pura Airports and Directors of subsidiaries as a form of concern to help people whose income affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, especially those in Jakarta, Tangerang, Bekasi and Depok," said Vice President Corporate Secretary of Angkasa Pura Airports Handy Heryudhitiawan.

Each package contains five kg of rice, one kg of sugar, two litters of cooking oil, one kg of wheat flour, instant noodles, salt, soy sauce, canned sardines, sweetened condensed milk, tea, margarine, coffee and biscuits.

Earlier on May 13, 2020, Angkasa Pura Airports also distributed 3,300 boxes of medical masks worth Rp825 million to help medical workers fighting COVID-19 pandemic. As many as 2,500 boxes were given Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital in Kemayoran and 800 boxes for Pertamina Jaya Hospital.

"We hope that our efforts can help meet the need for health masks for medical workers who are at the forefront in fighting COVID-19 pandemic," Handy added.
