Angkasa Pura Airports Continues to Distribute a Total of 24,294 Staple Food Packages in Java

JAKARTA - After distributing 10,000 staple food packages in Jakarta to help people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, Angkasa Pura Airports along with its five subsidiaries continued to distribute the packages to the Central and East Java, bringing the total food aid distributed to 24,294 packages.

Several cities and regencies which received the packages includes Jakarta, West Java (Cibinong, Nagrek, Subang, Cileungsi), Banten (South Tangerang), Yogyakarta (Sleman, Tegalwangi, Bantul, Kulon Progo), East Java (Bojonegoro). Each package contains five kg of rice, one kg of sugar, two litters of cooking oil, one kg of wheat flour, instant noodles, salt, soy sauce, canned sardines, sweetened condensed milk, tea, margarine, coffee and biscuits.

"Angkasa Pura Airports along with their subsidiaries are committed to expanding the coverage of social assistance areas for communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. After distributed 10,000 food packages in Jakarta, this time the aids are given to  [people] in Central Java and East Java," said Vice President Corporate Secretary of Angkasa Pura Airports, Handy Heryudhitiawan.

In addition to staple food packages, Angkasa Pura Airports also has another assistance program from the CSR Unit which distributes medical supplies and supporting medical equipment such as personal protective equipment (PPE) disinfectant liquids, hand sanitizers, googles, portable hand washing, disinfectant sprayer, thermo gun, cloth masks, N95 masks, rubber gloves, computers, printers, face shields, ambulances, and medical shoes distributed in the areas around the 13 airports managed by Angkasa Pura Airports.

"We hope that our efforts can help easing the financial burden of the people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic," Handy added.
